About Erin Fennell

Erin enjoys discovering new worlds and fanciful creatures in her imagination. She writes mostly picture books for children, along with a few short stories for adults. Her first book, Tango Man: The Musical Life of Astor Piazzolla, illustrated by Martina Peluso, is forthcoming Fall 2027 from Dream Jar Publishing.
In her writing life, she has been awarded a writer’s residency with the Key West Literary Seminar, and one of her stories won first place in Yeehoo Press’s Adapt Your Favorite Folktale competition.
Besides writing, Erin’s passions lie in dancing, traveling, and learning about other cultures. She lives in Miami, surrounded by many plants and animals, and moonlights as a professional Argentine tango dancer and teacher.
In her previous lives, Erin served as a librarian/associate professor at Miami Dade College, and taught English as a second language to adults from around the world, at a private language school. She holds a B.S. in Marketing, an M.S. in TESOL, an M.S. in Library and Information Studies, a graduate certificate in Linguistics, and a graduate certificate in Writing for Children and Young Adults.
